The Queenโs funeral guest list in full
Nearly 200 key workers and volunteers recognised in the Queenโs Birthday Honours list have been invited to attend her state funeral, Downing Street has said.
The group who received honours in June are to join royals, politicians and world leaders in Westminster Abbey at 11am on Monday.
The 183 people will be part of a 2,000-strong congregation gathered at the historic church for the final farewell to the Queen.
When is the Queenโs funeral?
At 6.30am on the day of the funeral, the Queenโs lying-in-state will end, and in the morning the coffin will be taken in a procession from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey for the funeral.
The service is to take place at 11am. Further details of the service will be published in due course, but it is expected that Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby will lead the service.
There will be a national two-minute silence held at midday on the day of the funeral.
The state funeral, which will be televised, is the first in more than half a century, since the televised funeral of Sir Winston Churchill, who died in 1965.
After the service, the coffin will travel in procession to Wellington Arch, behind Buckingham Palace, where it will be taken to Windsor.
In Windsor, the coffin will travel to St Georgeโs Chapel via the Long Walk, where a private committal service will see her finally laid to rest.
Extensive preparations have been made for the ceremony, which is being overseen by the Earl Marshal, the Duke of Norfolk.
Many leaders from the Commonwealth, a voluntary collection of 56 member countries born out of the dissolution of the British Empire, are also expected to attend. They include the president of India, Droupadi Murmu, and the new president of Kenya, William Ruto.
Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Unionโs administrative arm, the European Commission, will also make the trip.
