SUG FEDERAL UNIVERSITY WUKARI COMMISERATES WITH VICTIMS OF FIRE OUTBREAK

Students' Union Government, Federal University Wukari heartily commiserates with victims of a fire outbreak that engulfed buildings opposite Federal University Wukari second gate, destroying properties and leaving many people injured.
Fire had engulfed some buildings opposite the university's second gate in the late hours of Wednesday, February 15,2023, defacing properties worth millions of naira, injuring many and displacing scores of students.
In a visit to the scene of the sad incident yesterday, the Students' Union Government President, Federal University Wukari, Rt. Comr. Audu Buvini Samson lamented the huge loss occasioned by the wreck.
He particularly empathized with all students affected, promising to interface with the school management and other spirited individuals to provide temporal succour to enable them face studies especially during the period of the second semester examination.
Comr. Buvini equally decried the harsh economic effect of the country on students, stressing that the depressing event took place when students, apart from facing the rigour of a second semester examination were rather subjected to more anguish as a result of the incident.
He prayed God to console the victims for the losses incurred, promising to give in his best to alleviate the situation even as investigations were already on to ascertain the cause of the incident. He implored the university management and the host community to look into the incident properly and put in place safety measures targeted at preventing the reoccurrence of such.
On the visit was the President-elect, Students' Union Government, Comr. Musa Darlington, SUG General Secretary, Comr. Yev Benjamin amongst others.
