How to sharpen your Brian after a mid semester break

 

It is hard to start after a long break as the mind and body is not used to sitting at one place and focusing hard on studies for hours. That's why our mind keeps delaying the task of restarting because it knows it will be uncomfortable in the beginning. So you should try some things that can motivate ya to get back into study routine.


1. Plan in Advance: Start by planning. If you wanna start studying mode tomorrow then plan today. Just make a schedule of what you wanna study and for how much time. Make a light plan which you can follow for 7–10 days. Don't go too hard from the beginning. Study subjects which are interesting for you. Study subjects which are easy to understand. Divide time between studies and breaks effectively. Don't saturate yourself in the first week. Take it easy. With time everything will improve.

2. Fix your time to bed and wake up: According to your comfort set timings for your sleep and waking up and always try to stick to that routine. If you love studying in morning then wake up early by going early to bed and vice-versa. It's personal choice so decide what's best for yourself.

3. Give time to recreational activities instead of social media during breaks: You can listen to music, read a book, improve your oratory or writing skills or just close your eyes and lay down peacefully while reciting any of your fav mantra like gayatri mantra or your fav song. Just relax during your break time to refresh your mind for upcoming study session.

4. Exercise or play outdoor sports in evening: 1 hour of physical activity will do wonders to your body and mental health. Don't take it tightly. It is very important when the journey is hard and long. You need your best version to achieve your goals. So take care of your mind and body.

5. Take help or guidance from your peers/teachers/elder siblings/ parents: Don't hesitate to seek help and support if you feel the need for it. Don't be shy. If you wanna succeed take help if necessary. Sometimes good guidance is all you need alongwith hardwork.

6. Studymode can be boring but it's rewarding: So if you feel drained out due to consistently following the same routine take a day off to reset. But never overstretch your breaks because then you will fall in the cycle of procrastination. Stay disciplined while staying fresh.
